Reading it now seems so logical and natural, but during the reading itself, I just couldn't get his point until he revealed it. As I proceeded trough the reading, the author defined the relationship more accurately, stating that the apparent improvements of living conditions in underdeveloped countries leads lack of birth control, which leads to social instability, which leads to the establishment of totalitarian regimes and so on. His theory about the correlation between the decreasing quality in political and economic matters, and the increase of sexual "liberties" (I.e polygamy, regarding the love life of citizens of his "New World"), made little to no sense to me: I connected it to need from totalitarian regimes to control powerful emotions, such as love, or to increase the population, in order to have more "cannon fodder". I have to say that I'm struck with the style of Huxley: albeit some of his thesis are a bit "dated" compared to modern demographics and politics, most of them make a considerable food for thought.
